'That’s Not A Landscape Photograph’-"There have been times during my workshops when participants have expressed surprise at the subjects and methods that I (gently) encourage them to explore. The surprise is often a result of the participant’s preconceptions or at being persuaded to use kit not normally associated with a landscape photography workshop. I’ve also been questioned by club members on whether their images will not do well in competitions because they’ve pushed their own boundaries or tried something different. Landscape photography covers such a broad range and variety of subjects and techniques that sometimes it is very hard to define it and put boundaries around it." - Huw Alban
