The meeting began with a brief EGM required to ratify Diane's appointment as Chair on Peters retirement.

Martin conducted this part of the meeting and took the vote. The result was unanimous and Diane was appointed as the new Chair.

The meeting then turned to the subject for the evening. We had all been invited to bring in a series of 8-10 images illustrating a project or sequence of events/people or places.

We had a wonderful collection of pictures that took us from local pictures of the Wellington and Culmstock areas to the Masai Mara via trips to Lindisfarne and Mull. We saw wildlife from insects and baby rabbits to lions, cheetahs and giraffes. We were also shown the local countryside in its Autumn glory and other areas carefully tended to preserve its accessibility and natural habitat as well as projects focusing on men with beards, reading, trains, country sport and home improvements. A fantastic range of subject matter and some wonderful images.

In the tea break we had the opportunity to look at some prints provided by the PAGB. These were not competition winners but had been entries and were available for clubs to view and critique. They were much enjoyed.

Next week's meeting will again be at the Rugby Club and is a Still Life evening. So remember to bring your cameras and any other equipment you feel would be helpful - lights etc. Sarah will be bringing some items to use for the still life setups but if you have anything interesting you think would look good in a still life image please do bring it along.
