Stan Farrow gave us a great talk on abstract photography, starting with a bit about Abstract Art and photographers who had practiced the art. He then went on to show a huge number of his Abstract images, and talked about where they were taken and a brief description of how they were created. He talked about making them into a panel or grid of images for greater impact. His portfolio on his website is well worth a look, even if just to act as a reminder of some of the topics he covered last night. His ideas will certainly give us something to experiment with over the winter months ahead. No need to go out of the door, the subjects are all around us!!
