Last night was our first competition of the 26/27 season. It was a DPI competition with the theme being Movement and Peter Ottley was our judge.
Peter said that he liked to judge competitions where the theme was fairly wide ranging and encouraged a variety of images and subjects. A narrow or restrictive theme made judging more difficult. Our theme of Movement was a case in point as it encompassed a wide variety of potential subjects from movement caused by or involving people or animals to movement caused by the elements etc and even abstract images which involved movement.
