Last night was our last competition of this season and it was a print competition on the theme of Natures Beauty with Andy Francis as our judge
There was a bit of an ‘End of Term' feeling about this one as there was a smaller than usual entry in both the themed and the Open. For this reason the marking system was slightly modified. The themed section had 9 held back. One received a Judges Special Mention and the others were marked as usual, 2 x Commended, 2 x Highly Commended, 2 x 3rd place, a second and a first place. The open, where there were even fewer entries, had 7 held back with 2 x Judges Special Mention, 2 x Commended, No Highly Commended and the usual 3,2,1.

It almost seems unfair to pick anyone out for special congratulations as so many people had more than one image highlighted. However it would be wrong of me not to congratulate both Rachel Carter for achieving a HC, 3rd and a 1st place and of course Martin Cumper for his excellent 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings.
