Wednesday nights meeting was our November competition. The theme was ‘Past its Best’ and, as always, the Open section. Our judge for the evening was Pedro Landers and as both sections had a similar number of entries we started off with the themed images. As usual there were a wide variety of interpretations. We saw images of dilapidated vehicles, peeling paint, worn out equipment and machinery, ruined buildings and plenty of ‘rust’.
The open section was equally varied with some amazing wildlife shots as well as some street images, land and cityscapes and people (and pet) portraits.
Well done to all those who had their pictures ‘held back’ but particular congratulations go to to Mark Bowerbank with two 2nd places, Chris Mowthorpe with a 3rd and two Highly Commended and Nick Farnham with three Highly Commended. And of course our two winners, Huw Thomas and Graham Treharne. The full results are as follows:
