February Competition

22/02/2023

Last night was our February competition, the Themed subject was 'People at Work or Play' and of course the usual Open, judged by Mac Chivers. The competition was held over Zoom, as the Rugby Club was not available on that day - new carpet being fitted!! There were some great images and it was great to see 12 different people in the frame. Martin's winning Veteran Racer was a great close up of a 'Boy Racer' (not!!). A reworked image from a one previously submitted, proving that judges' advice to crop, crop, crop are worth listening too!!

Debbie's winning image was a very inventive and almost abstract image of the hull of a moored boat. It was one of a number of inventive and different images. Well done to all the winners and to everyone who submitted images.

Peter E reminded members of the up and coming WCPF Members' Exhibition, it would be really good to see some more members participate in this and raise the Club's profile and presence in the WCPF. Entries are made on line for both prints and DPI's. Entries close on 11 March and prints have to submitted by that date. Paul Carter has kindly offered to take Prints to the council meeting on that date, so if you can get prints to Paul (or me), he will take them - thanks Paul!! Many of the images from this month's competition were of the standard required for the exhibition, so why not give it a whirl!! (Contact Paul or me if you would like prints delivered.)
