Print Mounting Tutorial
I hope that those who attended found last night's meeting helpful. Loads of helpful tips and information was given about mounting prints and entering prints into competitions. Paul gave us information about entering competitions and pointed out the importance of correct mounting, particularly sticky tape and the damage it can do to others' prints. If any tape is badly applied and likely to stick to or cause damage to other prints, it will not be entered into the competition. - Be Warned!! He also explained the scoring system and how the league table works. The rules are on the website which is a valuable source of information.
Several members demonstrated how they mounted prints and let members try different types of equipment. If anyone is still having difficulty, or can't remember what was said, please do contact Paul or Peter E (or me) and we will try to help. I will also send out some contacts for equipment, consumables etc when I have it. It was a good event, with time for members to chat and ask questions. Paul and Peter had also supplied examples of mounted prints. Thank you to Paul and Peter E for hosting the event and to those who brought equipment and demonstrated it.
The Chair had no notices to give out, I commented that I had heard that it is the Ploughing Championship both mechanical and horse driven at Nynehead today. I'd forgotten till I started to write this so will be heading out there when I've finished this report!!
